CES Asia-May 25, Shanghai, China-Be There or be Square!

Finally, CES Asia met with Shanghai, China. This exhibition will be last for three days.

The area of this exhibition is more than twenty thousand square meters this time. There are almost one hundred industry executives and 25000 registered people take part in this event, and the exhibitors are more than 200, among which 55% come from China, and 18% from other Asian countries, as well as 27% for the counties come from other areas of the world. Definitely this CES Asia is larger than CES in America at the year of 1976.

CES Asia Exhibition may cover several themes, such as the wearable devices, the digital health, the Roberts, and Things to Things, as well as the future consumer technology markets etc..

Gary Shapiro, the President and CEO of Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), made a statement at the opening ceremony. He said that, holding the CES in China is a long-cherished wish, meanwhile this is the first time for the exhibition came to China. If it has to make a comparison, the CES Asia must be have a larger scale than the one in America in 1976.

This opening time for this exhibition is not quite appropriate. The Auto Show of Shanghai was finished several days ago before this exhibition, while several days later, Computex TAIPEI is coming after this exhibition, of course, the automotive manufacturers would focus on the science and technology for the vehicles, and without too much new products releasing, at the same time, most consumer electronics manufacturers that are well-known to Chinese people may not exhibit.

Therefore, CES Asia is not exactly the same with the event, CES in America. Compared to the CES opened in America in January this year, this show is more like the understanding of the industry status quo, and the professional tendency seems to be more obvious. We can know form the schedule, actually there are much more keynote speeches about interpretation for the future trend by industry insiders.
