Canon EOS Utility 2.0b Updater Windows 2000/XP/Vista.

EOS Utility is software exclusively for EOS Digital cameras that combines all the functions involving communication with the camera.

This software accommodates features such as importing and viewing images on the computer by connecting the camera to the computer, using the remote shooting function, and controlling the camera from the computer to specify the camera settings.

EOS Digital users can install EOS Utility 2.0b using EOS Utility 2.0b Updater for Windows.

The following features in EOS Utility 2.0a have been changed from the previous version of EOS Utility. Installer bug fixes. A bug that prevents the software from being installed in some environment has been fixed. The change has been made only in the installer, and there are no changes in the software itself. If you use EOS Utility 2.0 for Windows already, please continue to use it as is. (It is not necessary to download or re-install it from this Web site.)

  • Added support for Windows Vista. Window Vista-compatible models: EOS-1D Mark IIIˇ˘EOS-1Ds Mark II , EOS-1D Mark II , EOS-1D Mark II N , EOS 5D , EOS 20D , EOS 20Da , EOS 30Dˇ˘EOS Kiss DIGITAL N/EOS 350D DIGITAL/EOS DIGITAL REBEL XT , EOS Kiss DIGITAL X/EOS 400D DIGITAL/EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi: Requires the installation of a special driver for Windows Vista (the driver can be downloaded separately).
  • Added support for EOS-1D Mark III. The following functions become available when connecting to EOS-1D Mark III. Remote Live View shooting, grid lines on the Remote Live View screen, display of the aspect ratio set on the camera, and bulb shooting become available.
  • Support added for new Picture Style files. The file extension has been changed to ˇ°.pf2ˇ± from the ˇ°.pseˇ± extension currently used. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but please download the files again. Please note that the effect of the files has not been changed. EOS Utility 2.0 is required when the new Picture Style files (.pf2) are applied to the camera.

    The following features in EOS Utility 1.1 have been changed from the previous version of EOS Utility.

  • Added support for EOS KISS DIGITAL X / EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi / EOS DIGITAL 400D.
  • The limitations on the maximum number of frames for timer shooting and interval shooting have been eliminated. It is possible to shoot as much as the available space of the hard disk on the connected PC can accommodate.
  • You can now set EOS Digital cameras' Auto Power Off function to on or off remotely.
