Samsung has released the Software Development Kit (SDK) for its printing solution platform used for enterprise printers.

Called Smart UX Center, the platform offers various solutions for its printer clients made by applications and widgets based on Android.

Clients can access the platform and edit long documents and large pictures on their printers without the need to move back and forth to their PCs.

Print, copy, and scan applications and widgets are currently pre-installed on the printers it sells to business clients but they can download others offered on the platform.

They can now make their own applications using the SDK. Developers can also develop programs that use the HID card reader.

The SDK is also available as a mobile version of the UX so developers can continue to make apps for their phones that connect with their printers, allowing features such as remote printing.

The SDK is available as a free download at the Samsung Developers website.

Samsung continues to commit to its B2B printing business. It launched the ProXpress C30 printer series for SMBs in March earlier this year. In February, it announced a partnership with Amazon Dash for an ink replenishment service.
