Tencent and Foxconn join to develop smart cars

The war of BAT starts a new battlefield. After Baidu and Alibaba are engaged in internet cars, Tencent and Foxconn announced to join to develop smart cars.

On Marxh 23, Ma Huteng and Guo Taiming presented in Zhengzhou, Foxconn, Tencent and Harmony Auto together signed Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement of Internet + Smart Electric Vehicles. The three plan to cooperate in the field of Internet + Smart Electric Vehicles, and the government of Henan Province will also support the plan.

According to the agreement, Foxconn will be responsible for the design and production of the e-vehicles since it has mature experience in the field, while Harmony Auto has cooperated with Tesla China in after-sales maintenance and charging.

Whatai??i??s worthy mentioning is that, Baic Auto and LeTV holdings officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Hong Kong yesterday, and the LeTV super vehicle is expected to make its debut at this yearai??i??s Shanghai Auto Exp. Besides, Baiduai??i??s self-driving car will also come this year.
