July 24, the global market research firm IDC released a report of worldwide shipments of mobile phone in the second quarter of 2015. This report noted that in the 2015 second quarter, the top two brands is still Samsung and Apple. And there are three Chinese manufacturers ascended the top five: Huawei, ranked third, then Xiaomi, following Lenovo.
IDC data showed that the global shipments of smart phone manufacturers counted up to 337.2 million in the second quarter of 2015, , an increase of 11.6 percent than 302.1 million last year, which the highest quarterly shipments ever. Although Samsung is still the first shipment, yet its market share fell by 3.1 percentage points to 21.7%.
While the market share of Apple increased by 2.4 percentage points to 14.1 percent, a total volume of iPhone devices 47.5 million. The shipment of Huawei and Xiaomi was 29.9 million and 17.9 million respectively, and the market share was 8.9% and 5.3%, showed an increase year on year. The brand ranked fifth is Lenovo, which shipped 16.2 million in the second quarter, accounting for 4.8% of all market share. Chinese manufacturers shone in the second quarter once again.
